No. By starting your Krav Maga journey, you will immediately notice your fitness levels beginning to improve through increased movement and the variety of exercise. Our experienced instructors will ensure that your training is adapted around your requirements and aligns with your goals.
Many do not adhere to traditional fitness programs because they are repetitive by definition. Krav Maga is different. You will always come back for more!

Yes, but space is limited. We advise that you not be present during training as, in most cases, the kids become distracted. Parents can relax and take some valuable time for themselves in designated areas in the Pentagon Centre.

No. We do not ask our members to commit to yearly contracts. All we require is that you commit to 3 months of training, after which time you will revert to a rolling 30-day notice period, should you wish to cancel.

Yes. You will have an account on our booking system, with access to our weekly timetable. From here, you can book classes for you or your child.

Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade your membership as you like.

Yes. But only if you need to stop training for more than 6 weeks.

Yes. We close for a fortnight during the festive period.

Yes. We close for a fortnight during summer, sometime between mid-June and mid-August.

Yes. During the Summer Holiday, between mid-June and mid-August, we run about 70% of our training classes in comparison with the regular timetable.

Yes. We arrange gradings every 4 months to demonstrate your child’s progress.

Yes. You can progress through the system by grading. The levels run from Practitioner 1-5, then Graduate 1-5, followed by Expert 1-5.

Yes. It is mandatory that everyone training under Krav Maga Global in the UK obtains a training licence (which includes insurance). When you or your child joins Iron Skull Gym, you will be provided with a detailed guide which outlines the type of equipment required for training, and where you can purchase it. This will ensure that you can have everything you need to make the most of your classes.

Yes. We require that a club t-shirt be worn, and we include one in your first monthly membership.

When it comes to physical activity, there are no absolute guarantees of safety. However, injuries in training are a rare occurrence. Our instructors will ensure that your training is conducted with safety in mind, whilst maintaining realism.

No. Krav Maga is a self-defence system first and foremost. Although sparring does help to build confidence, and we do include it in lessons from time to time, it is entirely optional. Sparring is, however, only accessible after completing your Practitioner Level 1 grade.

As a beginner, you will be a Practitioner in the system. We will focus on the foundational aspects of the Krav Maga curriculum, and ensure that you train with someone of relative experience.
However, members who have progressed in the system already always welcome the opportunity to assist those who are just starting out. This will be a compliment to your training, as well as their own. The training environment is inclusive and supportive.
